Sales Engineer

As a Sales Engineer at Kuipers, you will play a vital role in reinforcing our current market position and aiding towards further growth and development of the company. The Sales Engineer’s responsibilities include maintaining extensive knowledge of the products’ parts, functions, and processes and assisting in closing sales where technical expertise may be required to fit the client’s needs.

To succeed as a Sales Engineer, you should possess in-depth knowledge of our company’s technical products and services and be able to relate this knowledge in a way that is understandable to non-technical customers.

Responsibilities

  • Helping to prepare technical presentations to explain our company’s products or services to customers.
  • Discussing the customer’s needs with the technical department to find the right solution.
  • Collaborating with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and communicating these issues as well as possible to the sales team.
  • Drafting custom quotations for clients.
  • Working side by side with the sales managers to ensure the best solution is offered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (MBO/HBO) (Mechanical, Process or similar)
  • Minimum one-year experience
  • Technical abilities to assess and understand engineering concepts
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated
  • Fluent in English, multiple languages are a plus
  • Computer literacy, including practical working skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Flexibility to travel; travel allowances are provided as per company policy
