As an Area Sales Manager at Kuipers, you will play an instrumental role in fuelling the company’s growth through new customer acquisition across the US specifically. We are looking for a proactive leader who has demonstrated success preferably within the food and beverage sector.

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible mainly for the US. This position is focused on establishing and maintaining trusted key account relationships with small and large snack producers. The job’s base will be in our newly established office in Houston with the possibility of traveling cross country.

Responsibilities

  • Detailed knowledge of all Kuipers products & services
  • Assisting in creating quotes, proactively following up, and converting quotes to sales orders
  • Attending industry events as the main representative within the area and becoming 1st point of contact for clients
  • Being accountable for increasing revenue and new client acquisition within the area
  • Working collaboratively and cross-functionally across the organisation, maintaining open communication internally and externally
  • Monitoring the company’s industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer’s specific needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field/Business/International Business/Commerce/Economics/Food Technology
  • Minimum five years of sales experience preferably in the food and beverage sector
  • Ability to develop and maintain a strong knowledge base regarding products, competitors, customers and market activities
  • Technical abilities to assess and understand engineering concepts
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated sales professional, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Industry and product knowledge
  • Presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and sustain successful business relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Fluent in English, multiple languages are a plus
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Flexibility to travel; travel allowances are provided, as per company policy
